Pastor Demond a. miller, sr.

Was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina by his loving grandmother, Mozelle Miller. He is married to the vivacious Niya Murray Miller and is the doting father of three beautiful children: Demond, Jr., D’Naja and DeMaria Miller.


Having a passion of wanting to serve families and his community at the toughest times of people’s lives, he went into the Funeral Service industry at the age of 15, where he began to work at a mortuary service until the age of 17. After graduating High School, he attended McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, New York, NY and later worked in the Funeral Industry until 2010. At that time, he ventured out to become a family grief counselor. Pastor Miller is currently a student at Clinton College University, where he is studying Religious Studies. 


In 2003, Pastor Miller was consecrated and ordained as the youngest Deacon and the youngest Chairman of the Deacon Board in history of the Greater Salem Church, Charlotte, NC. In 2013 Pastor Miller accepted the call into ministry and was licensed to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. In June of 2020, he was elevated and ordained an Elder in the Lord's church at The Connecting Place at Greater Salem. He served under the spiritual leadership of his spiritual father and mentor Bishop Alan G Porter, Senior Pastor. Rev. Miller was ordained on September 04, 2022 and is currently actively involved in the United Missionary Baptist Association. Pastor Miller is also actively involved in the General Baptist State Convention where he serves on the Executive Board as the Young Adult Director of the auxiliary of the Women’s Baptist Home and Foreign Missionary Convention. 


He is a successful businessman, a true leader with his hand on the pulse of the people. His charisma and infectious personality shines through everything he does. Pastor Miller is the second elected Pastor who currently serves the great saints of the Millennium Temple Baptist Church, in Charlotte, NC. He is a PROUD servant leader, who doesn’t mind putting his hands to the plow and WORKING. His favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans  I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper  you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” NKJV. Pastor Miller believes that God has something good for all His people. His mission is to change lives, develop God fearing men and women for His glory and develop the kingdom for our current generation.
